Brownback may be among those Midwesterners who feels apologetic about the loss of the Mexican Cession to the United States. He probably does not want to transfer territory to Mexico, but he would allow the Mexicans to come to their former lands without restrictions. He is just a believer in open borders, and by the time he understands that he is wrong, it will be too late to save American culture.
That's just crazy.
