This I am aware of. However the quotation in question is taken completely out of context and used to suit the meaning of the person posting it. I suggest you open your bible and read the whole chapter from Mathew 5 v1 through the end of the story Mathew 7 v28. And then think upon it. because to take scripture and use it out of context to further ones ambitions, goals, or self importance is to commit the foulest of sins in my book. Hypocrisy.

Oh I’ve read it .... studied it .... read multiple comentaries on the Sermon on the Mount ... meaty stuff. Not sure how he took it out of context ... all he did was quote it without comment. The words are truth ... hard truth ... but truth none the less. God’s standard is high ... and none of us can reach it. Hence the need for the cross. Yet none of it is void ... He Himself commands be ye Holy as I am Holy. The commandments of our Lord stand, and because of this we are undone. As Paul lamented, who can save me from this body of death? Hence the very need of the cross ... not because the command is void, but because we can’t reach it.

Of course, you probably know this ... it’s just that these words are still in effect ... not for salvation, but for Holy living. God’s standard has not nor will ever change. Again, Jesus said, he who loves me will obey my commandments. The need is there to follow Christ’s teachings.
