I’ve never been able to access FOXNews.com from home. I’ve checked everything (my firewall, etc.). I have Verizon DSL and even called Verizon Online, but they don’t know anything. I can lookup the IP address for the site and ping it, but can get the site on my web browsers (IE or Safari - I’m on an iMac).

Java problem maybe. FOX automatically refreshes itself (or used to anyway).

That sounds like a DNS issue. Try manually going to FNC by IP address rather than URL by typing http:// and the IP address in your browser’s address bar, and see if that works. If it does, then you will know whether it’s a DNS issue.

All I can think of is that if you have an old Flash plug-in, it might be barfing on the ads. If you can get to other major sites like Google and Yahoo, and other news sites like CNN and NYT, and you can get to FR, that's very odd.
You could also try flushing the cache. There might be something in there that's choking the browser. On a fast connection, I run the smallest cache the browser will allow.
