We are at a point where it is best not to believe anything that anyone says. There are always people trying to get us to let our guard down.

That's their whole methodology, "we have to get this done quickly," "it's better than doing nothing at all," etc. They've tried everything. Lies about what the bill does. They've tried waiting until the furor dies down (over the Memorial Day weekend -- and week). They've tried insults, obfuscation, threats, lies, fear. They've tried to play on sympathy for the illegals. They've played the race card. They want this really, really badly. They don't get it this time, they'll try it again in another 8-14 months. When they do, they'll use the same tactics.
