I remember back when Katie was on today and the ratings were going down. Management gave her a fat raise because they figured the ratings would go down even faster without her. Maybe CBS will do the same.

There's the old story of the baseball player who was traded away and told: "We finished in last place with you, and we can finish in last place without you."
Why spend the money on Katie? What the heck are they getting for it? And why do they think that they'd sink faster with someone else? What does that say about their faith in their essential product (so-called news production)?

The problem that CBS has is that most people want to hear and see on the news what really happened, not just made up stuff.
They are still reaping the effects of the rathergate fiasco.
