We just don't hyperventilate over weapons much here. Most likely, someone would approach the guy and ask what he's packing.
Its also legal here in PA.
Utah too. You can carry here without a permit as long as you carry in plain sight.
It’s quite COMMON to see people packing in Ol’ Montanny....ESPECIALLY during huckleberry picking season.
No, they’re not THAT valuable.
But, people’s children are and there’s enough bears around to make it reasonable.....or say you were by yourself.
Unfortunately, grizzly bears’ FAVORITE food [right after toursits] is the huckleberry......!!!
It’s legal to openly carry a weapon as long as you stay out of bars, banks, and federal installations. It’s quite COMMON to see ranch trucks with a .30-.30 [lever action] or mini 14 [semi auto] rifle hanging in plain view in the rear window for those chance encounters with coyotes, wolves, etc.
The only guy I’ve ever actually seen “pushing the envelope” was wearing a shoulder holster full of .45 cal. and some extra clips....on his way to do some wilderness camping [an “outfitter” and he just threw an unbuttoned shirt over his rig so as not to send the uninitiated into orbit. It was summer time and he was pressed for time down at the good ol’ Whitefish Army - Navy Store where I worked once upon a time.
We can do it around here but not in town...
I carry my S&W Gen 3 in a OWB when out on the farm... I carry IWB in town...
