Political correctness makes certain words off limits and the definitions of which words are racist changes over time.

Racism isn’t defined by using certain words, although the left would like for you to believe this.

It can be a indicator that a person might be racist, but it is not the defining characteristic.

I think you Sureños would call them "chongo" or "myata" in Spanish. I have more than just a few Norteño friends Who have no allegiance at all to Mexico.

If you want to have allegiance to Mexico, go there. This is the United States.
