If memory serves, Hendrick was full-up on sponsors for next year (with the exception of the year-to-year partial National Guard sponsorship on the 25), and Budweiser’s deal is directly with Jr.

So is he going with them just to win a championship?

... Budweisers deal is directly with Jr. Yeah, that's what I understood. So why is there a question about his sponsor next year??
To: WestCoastGal
I don’t get people who support drivers under a set of conditions. I support Jr. whether he’s driving the Bud car or the Hydrox Cookie car.
I think Dale Sr. would be very proud of Jr. too. Not so sure he would have the warmest & fuzziest feelings for Teresa though. Hope it works out for him. It would be nice to see him winning some races again.

Ill tell you this; I doubt he wouldve lost that 100 drivers points if he were with Hendrick this year.
Actually, from what I heard (and it maybe wrong), somebody at DEI got sloppy when they were working on the car and that's how the brackets made it on. Apparently none of the management types and/or people who would have caught it were around. Of course, were he with Hendrick, I'd assume they were on there deliberately :-)

G’morning WCG. Re welcoming Junior to the HMS fold, hey...I’d trade Schrub for Junior any day of the week and twice on Sunday! I like Junior. He just better keep his mitts off Jeff’s best cars, lol. (For those who don’t know, JJ got most of Jeff’s best cars when they started the 48 team.) Seriously, Rick and Jeff will do all they can to help Junior win a championship. (Again, for those who don’t know, Jeff owns an equity stake in HMS as part of his lifetime contract.)

Q - Will you win a championship, and if you don't, will you consider your career a failure? - Going back to Sr's race to eat, wants to do it this year, will have a good chance with Hendrick, will cherish it.

LOL ;-)

That’s what I heard; the bracket was one of the early prototypes. There also was a memo floated around the garage that the $100k/100 points/4 weeks for the crew chief was the hard minimum for getting it wrong with the COT.

3 of the Hendrick teams have full sponsorship locked up for 2008, and the 25 has partial sponsorship locked up (the only one in question is the National Guard one).

If memory serves, Hendrick was full-up on sponsors for next year (with the exception of the year-to-year partial National Guard sponsorship on the 25), and Budweisers deal is directly with Jr. Well, that'll be interesting, Jr. has a Bud deal, but not driving the Bud car???!!
To: steveegg
presstitutes LOL... I haven't heard that one. LOL, good one.
To: Sue Perkick
I dont get people who support drivers under a set of conditions. I support Jr. whether hes driving the Bud car or the Hydrox Cookie car. You wouldn't want to go to the horse track with me. I make my picks according to who has the cutest name. :)

I was unable to find out how long GMAC (the other co-primary on the 25) is good for, but Lowe's is good through 2010, DuPont through 2008 with a 2-year option, and Kellogg's through 2009.
The question is who goes? Do note that Bud spent several years on the 25 with both Ken Schrader and Wally Dallenbach driving for Hendrick.

The question is who goes? Poor Hendrick, more sponsors than he knows what to do with. LOL.
80% of the teams would love to have that problem. LOL.
