No, I’m not. A cashier’s check on a local bank, not a Nigerian one, or I’ve already been to the seller’s house to check out the vehicle first and know s/he’s on the level.

No, Im not. A cashiers check on a local bank, not a Nigerian one, or Ive already been to the sellers house to check out the vehicle first and know s/hes on the level. Or after coming to an agreement, meet inside your bank; a plus is that you can also use bank's notary service to finalize the sale.
Nobody walks in or out with cash, and it is very visible; safe for all involved.

Cashier checks are way to easy to copy. I sold a new $1500 computer on Ebay and shipped UPS COD/Cash Certfied. Got the check back from the bank as it was totally bogus wrote on a bank name that was bought by another bank. The address was fake as were the bank ID number. UPS said sorry, but they did their part.
So, now I no longer accept Cashiers Checks as they may not be worth the paper they are written on.
