We already won the war for regime change in Iraq. The Iraqis are in charge of their government. We SHOULD be phasing our withdrawal.

Flame me if you want, but that embassy they are building is going to cost 1.2 billion a year and who knows how many American lives. We have no intention of leaving. I have a problem with this.

Sure, we have to keep the screws down on Syria and Iran, but we have allies in the region, Jordan, the Saudis, Egypt, in whose interest it is to keep pressure on them too. Right now, every jihadi nut-job in on the continent is rushing over to take potshots at our fine service people. I don’t buy the “follow us home” baloney either. What are they, puppies??
