SPRINGFIELD -- A furious state senator accused Gov. Rod Blagojevich of making unethical threats against him Friday and said the two nearly came to blows in a confrontation over the governor's health care plan.

Sen. Mike Jacobs, D-East Moline, said Blagojevich shouted obscenities at him, balled up his fist, threatened to punish a university in his district and vowed to ruin his career.

''I thought we were going to come to blows,'' a visibly angry Jacobs told reporters. ''I was highly disappointed by what the governor did today, and I'm kind of ashamed to be a citizen of Illinois right now.''

''If this governor would have been in East Moline, Illinois, in one of my local taverns I would have kicked his tail end,'' Jacobs added.

I’m always amazed at what taxpayers will put up with.

“If one of their’s brings a knife, you bring a gun, if they put one of yours in the hospital, you put one of theirs in the morgue. It is the Chicago way.”

Too bad we can’t put them in Thunderdome and let them settle their differences. Two men enters on man leaves. God save Illinois.

I heard mike Jacobs this morning on WLS and he was pulling no punches (pun intended. He called Gov. Blago a liar and out of touch with reality. It was great radio. A classic example of Dems eating their own.

They do not put up with this: it is what they want.

When taxpayers wanted a cool, regular guy who could answer a young girl's question about his underwear, they voted for Clinton. They go precisely what they wanted and heard a great deal about underwear, stained dresses, etc. for many years. It is you and I who had to put up with that, but the majority of taxpayers wanted that kind of president.

When they wanted big government, even Republicans they voted in where pro--big-government. The socialism ideology in this country has acquired a critical mass. The taxpayers will vote a socialist (Hillary) into office.

Every people deserves the government it has.

This boy was re-elected because he was running against one of the most unattractive unappealing RINOs Illinois has ever seen and that is saying a lot.

As opposed to ethical threats?

''I was highly disappointed by what the governor did today, and I'm kind of ashamed to be a citizen of Illinois right now.''

Welcome to the club.

Amen to that. We coulda had Jim Oberweis and he woulda kicked Blago’s ass. That clown spent $7 a vote and couldn’t get more that 48% of the vote.
