It is very important to remember that unlike Black Americans, bigotry against Mexican Americans is still not being fully addressed.
Amnesty should continue to be part of our approach when attempting to solve our immigration problems with Mexico. The contributions hard-working Mexican Americans make to our society easily wipe out any so-called "free benefits" legal or non-legal immigrants may obtain through local, state, and federal programs.
Unlike some other Americans, many Mexican Americans are good people who possess a deep faith in Almighty God. Therefore they deserve to be treated with compassion & respect. In addition, we should double or triple the number of immigrants allowed on an annual basis with our friends from Mexico.
We must not forget that it is only with great difficulty & through hard work at low-paying jobs few other Americans want that many Mexicans eventually become citizens of the United States. It truly a blessing that so many Mexicans seek the opportunities the USA offers, & we should be honored to receive them in greater numbers into our country.
So are Poles.
So are Americans - so?
That's a rather prejudiced, blanket statement. I would bet that the truth is closer to that there are good and nice Mexicans, and there are bad ones...just as any other country has. Now the ones that have illegally entered the US are criminals...which normally isn't considered a trait of a "good" person...so perhaps they're not counting the illegals as Mexicans any longer, although to be accurate that remains the nationality of the majority of the illegal aliens...hence the title premise is proved false.
Let’s see, how would I describe this article? Maybe if I swallowed about a quart of pancake syrup, then barfed it up......ya, that’s it.
So are you Vincent Bemowski? Every post you've ever made here on FreeRepublic in an article written by Vincent Bemowski.
Regardless, amnesty is not a reasonable solution. This editorial is a load of garbage.
If you want open borders, then end entitlement spending, e.g. Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, public education, etc. It’s either that, or declare your support for the rest of the world to move here.

Yeah, but what about the criminal illegal alien Mexicans?
Good for Mexico.
Look, I can understand the appeal of the position of wanting people to have a safe and better life, but why doesn’t this catholic site spend some time encouraging Mexicans to fight for change in Mexico?
LOL, you win. ^_^

Know what.... you are right. Mexicans are good people. So, how about they be as good as they want IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY and leave ours to US!
That being the case, they must have gotten that way at least partly because of the environment in their native land.
Then why do tens of millions of them break the law and come to the US illegally? That doesn't sound like deep faith to me. Something about rendering to Caesar...

Mexicans are good. They deserve amnesty. I'm convinced.
Do I need a sarcasm tag? Yes, maybe I do. /sarc
