God I would love to see them Riot. I have kept my powder dry and a target rich environment is all I ask for.

Back in the late ‘60’s, in the town I now live in, there were several bus loads of persons from up north, mostly blacks, scheduled to come and “demonstrate” in this city, with the intention to incite rioting as they’d done elsewhere.

Business and shop owners informed the Police Chief and Sheriff if the demonstrators broke so much as one shop window, it’d be met with gunfire from the owners from within the shops. My now deceased father-in-law was one of those armed shop owners. The two law officers informed the instigators, or demonstration coordinators, of the town’s intentions to protect and defend itself and strongly encouraged them to reconsider their choice of cities.

There was no demonstration, it was quietly “rescheduled” to another locale.
