I keep hearing people whine that Thompson didn’t give a good speech in Orange County, as if this matters somehow? Did he belch into the microphone or something?

I haven’t kept up with the event that closely but I seem to remember some saying his speech was more generic based upon their feeling that he still was under contract with the tv show, etc.... In other words he wasn’t free to respond as candidate yet.

I don’t know how true any of the above is.......
