Killing America … Twice

War is about breaking the enemy’s will. Having laid bare the sorry state of our brains and our guts, jihadists are now zeroing in on the will’s final piece: our hearts.

That is the central lesson to be gleaned from Saturday’s news that four Muslim men have been charged with plotting to blow up John F. Kennedy International Airport, and with it much of Queens.

We now learn that for radical Islamists, lovers of death, the heart is the jihad’s most coveted prize. Tear it out, and you get to kill not once but twice. So says 63-year-old ringleader, Russell Defreitas, whose nom de guerre is, of course, Mohammed.

Any time you hit Kennedy, it is the most hurtful thing to do to the United States. To hit John F. Kennedy, wow!... They love John F. Kennedy like he’s the man…. If you hit that, this whole country will be in mourning. It’s like you can kill the man twice.

Defreitas, er, Mohammed is a naturalized United States citizen. He is another splash in that gorgeous mosaic of American Islam — the one over whose purportedly seamless assimilation the mainstream media was cooing just a few days ago, putting smiley-face spin on an alarming Rasmussen poll.

I think they were overestimating the setimental attatchment we feel for an airport because it’s named after a former president. It could have been Alfred E. Newman international airport and the effect would have been the same.

Geez, when are these silly Muslims going to realize that Mohammed was a man of peace?

Im afraid that much of America is sleeping ~ its like they don't realize that the country and the world are at war.

In a way, it is our own fault. We try to convince ourselves that a kinder gentler, jew-loving form of Islam exists when in reality it doesn't. While Muslims around the globe have gone on a murderous rampage anywhere from Afghanistan and Thailand to Iraq and Somalia, America and the West are still trying to convince themselves that "Islam is a religion of peace".

It is not Al Qaeda that is going to destroy us, it is ourselves. Maybe next summer when we get struck again and Al Qaeda tries to influence our election like they did in Spain we will manage to gather up the resolve to do that what is needed.

Not for me it wouldn't. I've always liked Alfred.

I like Al too but don’t think he is appropriately worried about global jihad. ;-)

We cannot count on the MSM or even our own politicians, on both sides of the aisle, to admit that we have a real, ticking problem with Islam.

Any rogue journalist or politician who states the obvious is reduced to being called a racist, intolerant, ignorant hater of a peaceful faith.

How many times have we heard leaders, including our own President way too many times, claim that Islam is a great, peaceful faith that has been "hijacked" by a few radical terrorists? Oh sure, there are peaceful Muslims who have seemingly assimilated well to America. They aren't all secretly plotting jihad. However, most of them will tell you that their number one allegiance and identity is to Islam...not to any country. And whether they will admit it or not, Islamic laws and principles trump the laws of this land and all other faiths. They are living "normal" lives, working, shopping, praying to Mecca and washing their feet.

But what happens in the future when some retaliation by the US causes massive Muslim casualties or destroys some holy place? What happens when the big Imams begin scolding American Muslims as shameful apostates and infidels unless they rise up and strike the great satan? How many will be forced to reclaim their true allegiance, rather than risk the wrath of the Imams and damnation?

If only a small percentage join the internal jihad, along with the hundreds or more here who are already plotting jihad, we will have a real problem. It's only a matter of time. And when the next horrible thing goes off, I fully expect to hear "innocent religion of peace" repeated over and over, as the cops rush to protect Muslim neighborhoods from "vigilantes" and "hate groups".

Oh well. The People can and will take care of themselves.

All an offshoot of the Western elites insane program of using mass migration to wipe out their own cultures and nations out in the name of one-worldism. The kumbaya future they envision is never going to happen, we’ll be gone, that’s all, and countries like China that guard their sovereignty and culture will take over world leadership.

Excellent post.

I expect that sooner or later, as you point out, there will be some domestic reaction if/when we are successfully attacked again. Goodness knows what form it will take.

We certainly are living in interesting times, aren't we?

Yes we are living in interesting times. And it will all be tied together to make it even more interesting. Terrorism, the decline of the two-party political system, foreign trade issues, world stock markets, preventing epidemics, preventing madmen with nukes, watching Europe become Europistan, wars and rumors of wars. We will watch it all happen live on TV, as the world is preoccupied with global warming.
