A Muslim community in Slovenia is planning to build the country's first mosque and an Islamic cultural center in Ljubljana.
Slovenia's mufti Nedzad Grabus and Ljubljana Mayor Zoran Jankovic signed a letter of intent on the sale of land for the mosque and adjoining buildings, the Serbian B92 radio reported.
The Muslim worship center will be built on an area of 4 acres and initial plans say it will be completed in the next six years. The Islamic community of Slovenia of 40,000 Muslims will pay $8.2 million for the building site close to the center of Ljubljana, B92 said.
Slovenia, with a population of 2 million, became an independent state in 1991 at the start of disintegration of the former Yugoslavia and it joined NATO and the European Union in 2004.
I bet you are pleased, canuck_conservative - then again, maybe it’s only when Muslims are near Serbs that you push their agenda, like so many other hypocrites.

these roaches will pass 2 mill in no more than 10 yrs.
so another islamic state in eurebia.. bosnia, kosovo,..., londonistan...
//right?
That would be nice, if only they would worship G-d in their own way, but I’m afraid it will be used to call Jews pigs and to plot how to kill Christians and Jews.
this will no doubt be cause for celebration in Austria and Italy, too, yes?
Uh..killing and or forcibly converting everyone else IS how they “worship God in their own way”.
Don’t do this, Slovenes! The only peaceful prosperous state to emerge from the misbegotten Yugoslav Union, and you’re about to throw it all away!
