Hillary Rodham Clinton has the makings of a strong president but she is losing the personal passion and authenticity that could make her a stand-out in the U.S. political scene.
That's the picture that emerges from a new biography, "A Woman in Charge: The Life of Hillary Rodham Clinton," by Carl Bernstein, who rose to fame with fellow reporter Bob Woodward covering the Watergate scandal that led to the downfall of President Richard Nixon.
Among the book's revelations are details of Bill Clinton's affair with an Arkansas woman that led the former president to want to end his marriage in the late 1980s. According to Bernstein, Hillary Clinton refused to get divorced.

Bernstein sees Clinton as having lost much of the advocacy and genuineness that early in her career made her a passionate attorney and campaigner. Now, he says her tenure in the U.S. Senate has been "poll-driven, focus group-driven and devoid of controversy."
"As she becomes more and more soulless, the less attractive she is," he said. "Could she be a really strong, effective president? Yes, if she could recover that authenticity.
"Could she be a captivating and a great leader? Perhaps. That's the big question in this election."

The article is an El Rooters puff piece on Her Majesty designed to soften the blow from Berstein's new biography.
The Times of London is publishing excerpts from the book over the next few weeks. You can see some of them online HERE.
Since Hillary is not presidential material (in spite of the above statement), what kind of job is she "suited" for? In the real world, what would Hillary do for a living?
My vote goes for female prison guard.
“Losing the passion and personal authenticity”???????
She never had either.
Give her a hair net and let her dish out mashed potatoes at an Arkansas public school.
"The three [Hillary, Vince Foster and Webb Hubbell] often went to lunch at the Lafayette hotel [in Little Rock]. Sometimes they watched lingerie shows there, a popular lunchtime entertainment of the era, in which models showed off nightgowns and their bodies. Hillary laughed at her two partners and told them what Neanderthals they were."
I'm a woman, about the same age as Hillary and the last thing I'd be caught doing is having lunch with two guys while watching women prancing around in lingerie and showing off their bodies. We all know that Hillary is supposed to be a devout feminist. If so, how could she bring herself to sit and watch these modeling shows? I'm thinking Hillary was "one of the guys" and enjoyed watching these women as much as her male friends.
