Okay here's why we should have the government pay for groceries:
- US Constitution, Artcile I, Section 8: "The Congress shall have power ... To establish post offices and post roads;"
- In order to have people able to build post offices, post roads and to write letters to one another so as to use the post roads and post offices, and in order to have people capable of running the offices and delivering via the roads, those people need to eat.
- Therefore and obviously following: The Federal Government is empowered and authorized to provide food stuff, food preparation, food delivery and food trash hauling, along with suitable sets of of china, dining room furniture and silverware -- not to mention food serving staff to all citizens capable of either writing letters, receieving them (letters made be read to the illiterate by government supplied readers), or handling them; and to provide semi-colons and other punctuation accessories; and generally to provide supplies of groceries of good quality to all.
