I do in fact get it. This group says nothing when the Democrats use churches to make speeches in to everyone there and the pastor say all types of vile things about conservative’s.

I oppose restricting free speech. So shut up! :-)

You Sir are spot on!!! So many Libs say the we “Must help those in need”. I LOVE to tel them “Then go help”.

But instead they feel it is better, more moral, to STEAL from others to HELP others (supposedly)

THEFT (taxes) is not moral.

Get up, go to a poor home, a retirement home, donte time and money. BUT, do not steal to help.

Liberalism is a ‘feel good’ -ism. “LOOK!!!!! I am HELPING!!!! Look at all MONEY I am getting out of those that have it to HELP!!!”

I always challenge Libs to tell me when was the last time they volunteered to help those they supposedly WANT to help.

OK, now my rant is off

Aaaaah, don’t be so hard on yourself. Just because most Americans disagree with you moderate/liberals on almost everything you stand for doesn’t mean you are a troll. We still love you.
However... Calling others a troll can be construed by those being attacked by you as trolling. ;-)

Christian Churches pay just as much in tax as your corporations do while our parishioners pay over 85% of all the money collected.

Um, I don't think so. Churches are tax-exempt -- separation of church and state and all.

Ummmm, Corporations don't pay taxes either and neither has anything to do with "separation of church and state." But nice try.

The problem we have now is not how we wrap god up to present to the world but how we wrap him up in such a manner as to keep him from consorting with the enemy.

As Americans, we have no experience with culture or history, only change; unfortunately, things are changing much faster than they did when god drove an oldsmobile.

If we want to survive, we’re going to have to let god ride in the backseat for awhile.

Revenue Ruling 2007-41 provides guidelines for exempt organizations on the scope of the the tax law prohibition of campaign activities by section 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations. The ruling sets out 21 factual situations involving 501(c)(3) organizations, including churches, and activities that may be prohibited campaign intervention. In each situation, the ruling applies tax law and regulations and concludes that prohibited political activity has or has not occurred.

The IRS also released its Report on the Political Activity Compliance Initiative for the 2006 election cycle. This report, PACI 2006, follows the report on prohibited political intervention in the 2004 election cycle, which was issued in February 2006.

This is not a law it is a tax exemption. Created so that people could use their right to establish a Church without having to pay taxes on it.No one is descriminated against. Any religion fits under this rule. It assures even if you are a small church without a lot of money you can still pray as you like without having to pay taxes on the land, the pay the preacher gets or his or her housekeeping. It was created so all could pray as they like not so they could forward political views. Didn't Jesus chase the money lenders and others out of his house telling the people this was a place of worship. You think Jesus wants you to talk politics in his fathers or worhip him?

Wow. I had no idea that corporations were non-profit entities. You might google "corporate tax rates" to see what I'm talking about. Churches, on the other hand, are 501(C) organizations and are tax-exempt as long as they don't advocate particular political candidates or parties.

But nice try.

I Oppose restricting free speech so shut up. Very Funny.
So I ask you. Does anyone who has posted here know why the churches does not have to pay taxes? Ever ask yourself that? Umm it is because a little thing called separation of Church and State. The Church need not pay for the state and the state need not pay for the church.
I agree it is wrong for Democrats to use churches to forward their agenda or worse say vile things about conservatives. I have been accused many times of being way to far to the right. I do not want government in my church, running my church,or collecting money from my church. They can stay out of my life and my pocket for that matter. I do not think it is right for a pastor to use God to forward his political agenda. I think the Muslims are proving beyond a shadow of a doubt why the government and political talk don't belong in church. Leave to God what is Gods and to man what is mans. I do believe we are supposed to be worshiping God in church. When did God become second to politics? I'd like for any of you to explain to God why you used his house for a political platform and his name for furthering your own agenda and not for learning about him and worshiping him.

2.4 million subscribers? Heck, he was just whipping them into a frenzy before hitting them up for a donation. Sure hope he sends little bottles of blessed water or 3-D pictures of Jesus with eyes that follow you around the room.

Is Americans United for Separation of Church and State a taxpaying organization?

Their website doesn't say, but rather makes you go to another site, where you have to register to find the information. However Charity Reports indicates that:

Americans United for Separation of Church and State is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It is eligible to receive contributions deductible as charitable donations for federal income tax purposes.

All I have been able to find is a restriction on the US Congress ONLY regarding establishment and free exercise.

Establishment yes, free exercise no. Free exercise of religion is an "immunity" just as much as keeping and bearing arms free of government infringement. Thus the 14th amendment applies the "free exercise" clause of the first amendment to the states.

You are exactly right. Point is, the Rev. T.D. Jakes has been a Democrat his entire life like 90% of all black people and he’s not going to change; just like 90% of all black people.

How they can go to church and shout and dance and then go into a voting booth and pull the lever for someone who espouses gay marriage and killing little babies, is a mystery to me.

Just proves the fact that entitlements for the brothers is most important to them and they choose money over morality.
