Nice portrayal. Kind of like Bush telling us we are spreading fear and don't want what's best for America because we don't support this rotten amnesty. You can call me a nut if you like, but it won’t change my opinion, or the opinion of others who see our elected leaders selling out our sovereignty.

I don't know what the trigger will be - passage of this bill, another terror attack, peace protestors gone wild - but I won't be surprised when violence breaks out among normally law abiding people. It will be ugly, but I see it coming in the next few years. I don't want it to happen, but that's the path we're heading down.

Buchanan was right on Immigration, and everyone called him a racist. He was on it years before.

“As we know, this level of detachment from the reality outside of the palace is not often followed by a happy time. Not for the rulers, or the ruled.”

Periods that are of most interest to historians tend to be rather unpleasant for those living in them.

Yes. How is someone to “lock and load” to fight the GOP when 1) he is NOT a Republican and 2) he won’t do the same for national security and fighting terrorists. Other than that, this article is a rehash and is nothing special.

Jane Fonda. She did that, too.

“is NOT a Republican”

Do you hold elective office on a GOP ticket? If not, you aren’t actually a “Republican” either.

“he won’t do the same for national security and fighting terrorists. “

What do you think this amnesty bill and all the rest of the egregious assaults on our national interest perpetrated by this Administration (like Convention on the Law of the Sea) will do for our national security and fighting terrorists?

Come on, Bush considers the representative of half the enemy (the Saudis) as a member of the family (Bandar “Bush”).

What would you suggest? Quiet submission to the will of our “betters”?

>we want to stop the destruction of our great country?

You think our country
is "great," but every little
political mess

turns you "patriots"
into gibbering messes,
thinking the country

is gonna collapse.
You don't think the country's great,
you're contemptuous

of the country and
its citizens and you think
neither will survive.

And, of course, both will
thanks to real patriots who
really love the place.

>I see you are still the same old quisling, who can't (or won't) distinguish between WARNING of a civil war ... and WANTING a civil war

"Warning?" Oh, gotcha!
So, you are like not the guy
who beats his wife, you

are the guy who warns
his wife bad things will happen
if she's out of line...

Yep.. unbelievable, now Bush can join JJ and Sharpton as the new race baiter on the block.

I never even thought about him joining them, but you are exactly right. He's just like them, and it's causing bad feelings between the Mexicans and Americans. IMO, before this is all over, there's likely to be bloodshed. I hope not, but passions are running very high.

It's so easy for your type to sit on the sidelines flinging crap, stirring up the masses (choosing hopeful book sales over the lives of your fellow man), but those who end up being in a position to influence the direction of civilization (look it up, and again) have earned it through the achievement of their own or their ancestors.

I know you probably think that unfair [though you probably wouldn't if your forebearers had achieved anything] but the way forward for us all is by relying on those who have accomplished something in the past, not just you lunatic kooks who hate anyone less than lily-white.

And then you talk of detachment from reality, and I laugh.

If you loved your country half as much as you pretend then you wouldn't trade the deaths of your country-men for potential book sales.

Maybe you haven't noticed nearly the entire base of Republicans have had it with this once great party and this president.

We should rebuild the grassroots conservative movement. From the Reagan Revolution of 1980 through the Contract with America in 1994, it was this movement from outside Washington that carried us to the first center-right majority governing coalition in more than 60 years.

The problem has not been with conservatism or with our voters.

The problem has been with Republican leaders who forgot who elected them and what values their supporters expected to see implemented in Washington.

About a week ago I saw a video on YouTube and it was made by a man who is a Viet Nam Vet from South Carolina. He was mad because Lindsey Graham called us "bigots." He ranted and raved and said he would kick his @ss if he can get his hands on him, and then he said he would "meet with an unpleasant end." LOL Someone must have reported him because YouTube took it down. People are irate over this whole mess, and someone like that could actually do something to one of those traitors. It may come to that before this government is brought back under control of "we the people." They are definitely out of control.
