Ron Paul is blowing up real good

The antiwar, pro-gold, libertarian presidential candidate Ron Paul tells me he would rather be riding his bicycle than speaking to another reporter on a Thursday afternoon. "My vice is that I'm obsessed with exercise," says the Republican congressman from Texas.

But running for president does not exactly disagree with him. All day long, he has been hustling from one press appearance to the next, a high-energy bundle packed into a lithe 71-year-old frame. His brown eyes sparkle with fire as he blurts out one big adjective after another. "Preposterous," he says of Rudy Giuliani, who accused Paul in mid-May of blaming America for the attacks of Sept. 11.

I wonder what they mean when they call him “pro-gold”

Return to the gold standard. The gold standard made the US Dollar the world's currency. We have been in decline since we abandoned the gold standard.

You asked a question based on a false premise... Akin to asking, "Have you stopped beating your spouse yet?"

No, I asked a legitimate question that you do not have a reasonable answer to and so you categorize it in that manner.

You submit that Ron Paul is pro-Al Queda.

Go back and show me where I said any such thing.

And yet, people like you still insist he's somehow "anti-war" or pro-terrorist.

Go back and show me where I said that. Seriously, if you people have to put words in others' mouths in order to support your own arguments, you have already lost any credibility in debate. I did however, say that he is a cut-and-run advocate. Well, actually, he says it.

This despite his wanting a full out Declaration of War against terrorist harboring nations, Letter's of M&R to hunt them down no matter where they hide, and a call from Dr. Paul for ALL Americans to reassert their RKBA as a further line of defense against "sudden jihad syndrome".

What does he plan to do about the current situation we are engaged in right now, though? And don't try to snow me; I already know.

Nor is there a way to respond to your idiocy.

You'll note that in my previous post, I made no personal insults against you. I see you are not capable of doing the same. In fact, you have validated what I said in that post.

And really not worth my time to try and "be nice" to people like you... You aren't interested in the truth.

I've never seen you be "nice" so I really don't expect it of you. As for the truth, you are assuming that just because it's your opinion, it's the "truth." Wrong. Oh, and rather arrogant, I might add.

Actually, I was talking about the challengers to Ron Paul in his Congressional district.

Eric Dondero and Chris Peden. Either would make a great Congressman.

Ah, gotcha. Yes, it will be nice to have a non-senile non-moonbat grown-up in the seat again. They’ve had to wait a long time since Greg Laughlin lost.

“I don’t understand you guys...Ron Paul said that US government policies (i.e. interventionism) is the reason Al Qaeda attacked the US on 9/11...now...do you guys dispute that as a matter of fact? (I can cite you AQ expert after AQ expert and US government reports that state exactly what Ron Paul said)”

Why should we let a gang of terrorists tell us what our foreign policy should be?

Watch the little turd go for the jugular in the next GOP debate.

Don’t you know he has some one-liners ready to unleash on Rudy, especially?

I don’t think that a “good man” would maintain that on September 11 we got what we asked for.

Perhaps you should read what he really said instead of reading the Giuliani/GOP establishment spin.

Yes, I dispute it.

If we weren't involved overseas, they would cite our support for Israel over the last 50 years.

If we weren't involved overseas, they would cite the spread of our culture via McDonald's and WalMart.

If we weren't involved overseas, they would cite our lack of fidelity to Mohammed.

So let's take Ron Paul's advice and pull out of everything international.

Muslim extremists unite and take over the Middle East, united behind a single leader. We do nothing.

Muslim extremists, backed by those in the Middle East, take over Europe. We do nothing.

Then, when we face 2 billion united Muslims, Ron Paul can stand behind his barricades and sing God Bless America.

I’m not the least bit skeptical of monitoring those who want to harm us. Oh by the way both sides of my brain are wired.

We have been in decline since we abandoned the gold standard.

Yes, the suffering by our fellow citizens as they watch their plasma TV's and listen to their IPODs is almost too grim to bear.

That's good advice; though I hope the conservatives in the GOP put a stop to the Giulani/liberal GOP establishment spin.

I agree that at the rate this country is going it is pretty much shooting itself in the foot. Campaign Finance Laws, Patriot Act, Prescription Drugs for Seniors oops I am sorry, thats what we got with this “conservative President”. China and Russia are getting stronger and we got people more interested in American Idol.

Give me Ron Paul and his principals any day.

Oh by the way both sides of my brain are wired.

This is a typical tactic of these Ron Paul supporters, toss venemous attacks against those who do not buy 100% into their philosophy.

I can't imagine why the Libertarian Party hasn't caught on with these types of recruiting tactics!
