Since you’re just another anonymous figure on this forum, I’m seeking POV. (btw; kudos for being honest and forthcoming)
“My God but you people hit a rut and just can’t seem to get out of it.”
Seems you’re not that proud of your heritage or you wouldn’t have such a chip on your shoulder. Your blanket statements are insulting.
“I don’t have a “ministry.” I just have some friends whom I love.”
My FRiend, if you are preaching God’s word to a group, that is a *ministry*. Hopefully you're preaching of the sins of breaking the laws of a country that has been more than fair to the illegal population.

Right now we are focusing on the sins of self reliance, self righteousness, self-pleasing, self adoration, self assurance, self seeking, and the failure to acknowledge that God’s righteous standard demands utter perfection in all thoughts, words, deeds and plans. Plus the REALLY big sin of refusal to acknowledge the fact that Christ’s death in itself is a statement that we are utterly and hopelessly morally bankrupt with no chance of EVER pleasing God with ANY of our activity. Finally, we talk about how the ONLY motivation for life is a “thank you” and “live thru me” approach.” Once I can get that hammered out in my own life, and can get these guys over that same set of hurdles, then we will doubtless try to hammer out how Romans 12 meshes with the rest of scripture on justice, mercy, and how being illegal affects them as Christians. Thanks
