Hardcore in this case is indulging in their fetish issues with no regard to what a majority thinks.

Like shoring up the border probably appeals to a majority.

Shooting illegals on sight at the border probably is hardcore.

No conservative advocate such a position.

You're reduced to pathetic straw-man arguments now.

I’m not trying to get in the middle of this argument, but you keep referring to the “Majority.”

This same “Majority” would take us socialist if the right handouts were offered.

Now is the time to be reinforcing that Republicans are conservative. I think you would be very surprised how conservative the general population is if it is spelled out in a way they can understand.

The problem the majority has is they were educated in public schools, never taught about money, personal responsibility, etc.

If a true conservative who could effectively explain the issues and why they are important to the country came forward, I think there would be a ground swell.

Everyone is tired of the illegals, nervous about the bloated gov. (but if it is going to keep growing, I might as well get mine), the Tax System, sees that there are fundamental flaws in education, etc.

Then, if this same person could get the republicans to get on board with him and map out a plan that was truly conservative and explain what they would do together, the country would support them overwhelmingly.
