I don’t even recognize Bush these days, each day he sounds more and more like a liberal, worse than a liberal, he’s becoming a sean penn, a barbra streisand, a complete and total whack job, I can’t believe what he has turned into.

“doubt that Bush would be vengeful”
Revenge was probably a bit strong. In the service of “fairness” maybe.

LOL:)

I sure hope he's okay today. I don't know about his sobriety , but he's always reliable with the Savage thread.

I know things are rotten in the world Tark, but we are all in the same boat. Now that boat may be called the Titanic, but I know we can squeeze everyone into the lifeboats.

The Third Hour Cometh...

Build the Wall, President Bush and build it high enough and secure enough that a couple of 17 year olds can't jump over it!!!!

I wonder if all the nutjobs out there are already lining up to get their 30-second free shot at saying whatever they want: coming up at the end of the show!

President Bush has been so disappointing for me. I voted for him twice. I thought his conservative colors would show through during his second term—he didn’t have anything to lose so why not. Remember after he won in 2004 how he said he had political capital and he was going to spend it. Unfortunately, he’s gotten worse during his second term. His true colors were showing during the first term.

Hannity does this on his show nearly every Friday and he has gotten some real nut jobs. But the occasional nutjob can be entertaining. LOL!

Regarding pronounciation of "nuclear," I remember reading back in the 70's, during the Carter administration, (Carter had been an engineering officer on a nuclear submarine and also pronounced it "nucyoolar"), where that came from in the nuclear industry. One of the physicists on the Manhattan project was from the South and would pronounce it that way for whatever reason. Later that physicist became a professor at Harvard. So some of his students started pronouncing it that way just as an in-joke as a badge of "I went to Harvard," as in "I learned to talk this way from Prof. FamousGuy." So then other people in the nuclear industry started saying it that way because they wanted to be as cool as the Harvard guys, pretend like they'd studied under the guy at some point also.

Now it's just the way it's said by a lot of people. I think the MSM explained it in the 70's so people wouldn't think Carter was a moron (even if he was), but they won't repeat the explanation now, because they have a vested interest in painting Bush as a moron (and he might be).

Bush didn’t go to Harvard, though. He went to Yale, right?

What choice did Rock have, Tamar, it was Bush or McCain in the primary, and then it was Bush or Gore, then Bush or Kerry.

He's still slightly better than all those three, just not as was advertised. However he NEVER impressed me.

Who's pinning anything on Rock?! I said "we" should have known what we were getting ourselves into by not letting either of them get that far in the primary race in the first place.

An online political pundit Thomas Clough wrote an article some time ago about Bush and the corn/ethanol lobby. I have excerpted the last paragraph of that essay below. Says it all.

Somehow George Bush has convinced a lot of people that his odd brand of magical thinking is tough-minded and realistic. Perhaps it was all those side-by-side comparisons with the even-more-confused Al Gore and John Kerry that gave the American people that false impression. The only good reason to vote Bush into the office of chief executive was to keep the likes of Gore and Kerry away from the levers of power. As spendthrift as George Bush has been, Kerry would have been even more lavish. There is some hope that Bush will promote judges who have a deeper commitment to limited government than Bush himself has. The undiminished optimism of our former cheerleader turned Cheerleader-in-Chief may yet lead us into disaster. Two more years of magical thinking is a long time to go without a serious stumble.

The crew is having fun driving Doc Savage up the wall with their music selections this hour! I’m enjoying a good laugh!
