I was looking for the report and can't find it here...2007 Congressional Reports
Last Updated June 01, 2007
...nor here...110th Congress (2007-2008)

I'd like to see the wording in that report for myself. I'll look around a bit more and see if I can find anything.

“Future Presidents should at least give Dubya (and our troops) thanks for “neutralizing” those nut-burgers and serving a “straighten-up” notice to Khaddafi.”

Should but won’t. He’s already being kicked to the curb by some in the party for single issue reasons. One theory is that the key to the rebirth of the GOP is running against President Bush. Once he’s gone, the line will be that the demons have been exorcised and the body (GOP) is healthy again.

This was interesting:

The committee found that internal intelligence community notes of meetings in which Valerie Plame participated "did not mark her name with a (C) as would be required to indicate that her association with the CIA was classified," as both Plame and her husband have said. These aren't the only instance where Wilson's account did not square with the facts, the senators found.

If her name is listed as an attendee on their meeting minutes, without a classification, there's no way her employment at the CIA could be considered "covert", or even "classified". Anybody could have said "I saw Valerie today at work", without being arrested.

Now tell me this: Is there any chance that the MSM will carry this story in their news?

“Thanks Kelly for posting”
I must apologize for my own rudeness. My desire to get it straight from the horse's mouth overrode my manners as I went straight to "search" mode.
Thanks for posting this. If I find something I'll be sure to let you know.

As FReeper James500 said in post #68, click on the second link in your "2007 Congressional Reports" collection, and go to GOP members' dissenting comments that start on page 208--of the Senate Intelligence Committee Report (NOT the PDF)

It's in all newspapers. You just have to look for the name Plame instead of Wilson. Here's the story as it appears in USA Today:

Plame called on to explain varied accounts

...the Senate Intelligence Committee Report (NOT the PDF)
The Senate Intelligence Committee Report is the pdf and the part pertaining to Wilson starts at 205, not 208. You'll miss the Plame memo on 207 if you start at 208.

James500, I hadn't read all of the way down the thread so I didn't know that the link had already been posted. I'm so used to things like this never even being looked into that I took it for granted that there would be no link to it.
Big mistake on my part. Kudos, James on a good find.

I doubt we'll see it in any mainstream paper, but relying solely on NewsMax is flirting with being made to look completely stupid. They are, unfortunately, the National Enquirer of the political web site world.

However, just like the Enquirer, they do occasionally get one right. James500 posted the link to the actual Senate Report, which is extraordinarily helpful. I'll thank him.

In the name of graft, they would not destroy him; until they used all of our taxpayer money they could get away with.

I have always said that the Republicans need to go down, way, way down to the bottom of the sewer and fight the Democrats where they live. Few have the guts to do so.

This article is misleading. This action was not taken by the Committee, but rather independently by 3 members of the Committee. Articles with clearer details:
