I don’t know where Medved lives, or behind what guarded enclave, but for those of us out in the real parts of the USA, both of these issues are real.
I wish I could have him with me for a month. I would spend almost every penny I have to show him the real world we strive to survive in. The Super Corridor going from Mexico to Canada thru Des Moines and Chicago and Detroit is a real messy idea. Puts illegals on the fast track to invade this country, IMO.

I'm working with my grandkids now. They all love to come out here to go plinking. This afternoon while Our electric was out, our 9 year old gd and 8 yr.old gs each emptied a 30 round clip in a .22. They keep improving.
It’s worse than this. Some of the gangsters from Central America, for example, are asking for sanctuary on the grounds that they would be in a world of hurt if deported to their own country due to their gang tats and affiliations. Unbelievable... Will look for documentation of this recent ploy designed by bottom feeding lawyers who thought it up.
My dad gave me a Remington single shot 22 when I was 8. Good memories.

I bet it's comforting to get back home, huh?
When we moved to where we are now, there were few homes. Now, driving back from town they are everywhere. People seem to be moving from town out here to the rural area. Shoot, I hear sirens at least once every three to four months now.
We've been getting something out here we rarely had before, prowlers. Hell, I pick up my pump and walk around the yard or settle in a dark spot and wait and listen.
If that's happening in the country, the cities must be hell.
Cherished memories.
Hubby got a Ruger 10/22 to keep sharp. I was firing my son's Walther P-38 today, fits nicely in my hand. I also fired his old(replica) Civil War Fayetteville .58 musket. Loads of fun.
And if that isn't enough, you can be a perfectly legal citizen while killing your offspring as it exits the womb.
