That probably plays well over at DU but making distinctions about morality does not make one into a terrorist.
No - but the television show Mr. Roger's Neighborhood was aimed at children who are far too young to understand the intricacies of doctrine...and certaiinly too young to understand what heterosexuality and homosexuality are. As such, Fred Rogers did well in focusing on the commandment, "love your neighbor as yourself."

Fred’s show was appropriate for its intended age group, but announcing that “God loves you just as you are” to a group of homosexuals is denying the sinfulness of what God Himself has called an abomination and is not something that I can support.

...As such, Fred Rogers did well in focusing on the commandment, "love your neighbor as yourself." Not even to mention the whole 'love thine enemies' teachings of Jesus:
Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. [44] But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; (KJV)
This also seems relevant:
John 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. (KJV)
