Sears pays good money ($6.00 an hour) for guys to get excited and pretend to be cops.

With a REAL cop in the store, crime might be deterred, thereby not giving the wannabe the opportunity or need to flex his manliness and "authority", thereby negating the need for his job, but also negating his usefulness in life.

As a bookkeeper who hates crome of any kind, I have always advocated this:

If you or your group are owners of a shopping mall or a larger size strip mall, make plans in your building for a FREE space for a “sub-station” for the local police or sheriff. It will make their presence a benefit for your customers, and you will be a community hero for making things easier for the cops. A total no-brainer to me.
