I heard something disturbing on FNC about 30 minutes ago.. someone who worked for a Senator said that they are being told by pollsters that 2/3rds of the people support what is in the bill, and the protesters and those who are calling are just a misinformed minority... I would love to know where the 2/3rds support number comes from...

I would love to know where the 2/3rds support number comes from... From the illegals who will be made legal, and the tens of millions that will follow in their wake. Lott is tired of keeping his independent minded MS constituents happy, better to import new constituents beholden to him.

That probably requires very careful wording to get that type of response. Something along the lines of "would you be willing to accept a plan that would allow some immigrants to stay here if the border were completely secured, complete background checks were done on the immigrants and they had to pay thousands of dollars of fines?" Look for an undefined number (some) instead of 12-20 million, confusion over immigrants vs. illegal aliens, and a big assumption that the border would be closed.

Simple: the pollsters are telling the politicians what the politicians want to hear! The pollsters want to keep working too.
