Nice. Finally, a language those bonehead politicians understand....$$$ Well said. I've told the callers several times in the past that I was done donating unless something was done about illegal immigration, long before this amnesty mess came about. Nothing changed, no money.
But now.....
And I'm glad to see it.

Nice. Finally, a language those bonehead politicians understand. Just as the Jihadies only understand overwhelming force, policritters of all stripes only understand two things, votes and money. They value votes the most but often believe that money can always buy votes. T'aint true or the NRA would not be near as powerful as it is. It controls some money, but lots of votes. Way more than it's 4,000,000 membership might indicate.

Not necessarily: "The national committee yesterday confirmed the firings that took place more than a week ago, but denied that the move was motivated by declining donor response to phone solicitations." They're in denial.
And another: "'Any assertion that overall donations have gone down is patently false' [RNC spokewoman] Miss Schmitt said."
What I find interesting is that it's usually liberal-biased MSM hacks trying to make Repubs look bad, but the national party machine is doing it to themselves this time. These people are completely tone deaf.
IMO, the "aged phone system" is a smokescreen, and a poor one, at that. That sort of issue is one that can be foreseen and planned for - not delayed until the moment your party's potential presidential candidates begin jostling for position at primary debates.

Nice. Finally, a language those bonehead politicians understand.Unfortunately, they will understand that they have to further turn away from their base, and toward big-money, special interest lobby groups, since "get myself reelected" is the main thing.
In my book, campaign ads on both sides are worthless propaganda.
A voter must must inform himself on where a candidate stands based on his past history, his voting record.
Yet, we are saturated with campaign ads on radio, TV, snail mail, every election.
Why would the campaign masters spend $MILLIONS to do this, if it wasn't effective?
Too many voters not bothering to get themselves informed. Voting for the guy or gal who looks and sounds the coolest on TV.
