My 10 year old daughter has a guinea pig named Sweetie who is adorable and affectionate. The thing is so darn cute that for awhile I couldn't resist feeding it treats of fresh cherry tomatos, baby carrots etc, but soon she became demanding and obnoxious and it got so that it recognized my 200 pound walk as I moved through the house. It got so bad that I could hardly make a move anywhere in the house without her going crazy and squeeking up a storm driving us all nuts.

I no longer feed her. Problem solved.

I told my daughter that I wouldn't eat her rat unless I was really hungry and hadn't eaten in a few weeks, but I bet it would crisp up really nice on the grill.

It is my understanding that there are a few restaurants here in the Twin Cities that include Guinea Pig on their menus.

That brought a tear to my eye. Too funny. :-)
