I've over-nighted with friends who have guinea pigs. Can't say as to nocturnal noises, since the bedrooms are too far away to hear them, but I love the sounds I could hear during the day. Contented hoots and trills, remind me a bit of the effect in Star Trek's The Trouble with Tribbles.
