Not a big surprise. A lot of donors do this exact same thing - give to both sides. People who do this are buying insurance for favorable votes for their pet issues. Nothing surprising about it, really.

Yes. I don’t remember where it is (online somewhere), but there’s a list floating around listing off presidential campaign contributons on 2004 by prominant people and businesses. Rush, Boortz, and Doyle have all read portions of it on thier respective shows, and some of the margins are astonishing.
