Whereas you see a conspiracy I see things being conducted fully in the public eye. It is simply my contention that most folks just don't seem to recognize the end product of such goals, which does seem to be a "North American Community" just like the EU, and that despite the publicity of everything there is no cognizance by the general public of what is happening.

why would proponents even posit such a situation in the first place? Do you know what Hegelian dialectic is? A very basic explanation...You desire an outcome and you take advantage of events, in the case of the SPP it was 9-11, to gain that desire.
It seems to me that the next terrorist attack will be taken advantage of to usher in the "North American Community". That isn't a conspiracy, that's the thoughts of one of it's proponents.

A "conspiracy" need not be secret. But there are no "plans" for an NAU. The EU was planned loudly and forcefully since WWII. There were no surprises until the 400-page constitution.
A North American Community is, again, noise for agreements (gasp!) and treaties (double gasp!) enabling smoother commerce across borders.

Not sure where 9-11 fits in except to say that security should be of more concern, making commerce across borders more difficult, not less.
