Most Mexicans don't hate us. Here or out of the country. What they hate is the perceived unjustified malice that gives rise to the ignorant, unfounded, hateful, xenophobic rants like the ones we see frequently here on FR.
The border problem is out of control and we need some way to get control over this situation we have helped create.I believe it should be done in a way that emphasizes market forces rather than law enforcement, and I know I disagree with many on FR because of that. Howeer, I also believe that any law enforcemnent actions should be done with an eye to the fact that these people here are made in God's Image and worthy of respect, kindness, and mercy in the midst of justice.
There is a sizeable contingent here on FR who will be satisfied with nothing less than simply rounding up and expelling everyone here illegally, and to hell with any of the human suffering this would bring because "it is not my fault they are here." I have to say I despise people like that.
So, yeah, it is true there are Mexicans who hate that attitude. Put me at the front of the line with the anglos who hate it, too.
There are consequences to breaking the law. They brought on their own suffering by breaking the law. Should we be so concerned about Americas criminals who have to be seperated from their children and families while they are in prison? Should we just open our prisons because the inmates are suffering? Only difference in our lawbreakers and illegals is that ours are doing time.
If you truly can see no difference between a border hopper who comes here because they want a better life (YES, I DO UNDERSTAND IT IS ILLEGAL!), and the crimes a person commits to get put behind bars, then I wonder how you manage to remember your password to log on to FR. Logic like that is so rare that no wonder you want it memorialized through the ages /s
Were you aware that the penalty for crossing the US border is 4 years in the federal pen? I stick to my original post. Sorry you think defending our border is stupid.
