Apparently he was in the Marine Corps Reserves and then he switched to Army.

And then he switched to Cindy Sheehan and the Code Pink Marxists.

And now (maybe someone in the 'Rat party whispered sweet nothings in his ear) he's working on legitimizing his antiwar activism, by allying himself with Nancy Lugosi and Dingy Harry Reid's style of constitutional subversion.

I would not be surprised to see him put up by VoteVets.org as a 'Rat candidate; similar to the candidate Paul "The Hack" Hackett was.

The thing that set off my radar about Bruhns was that he tried to wipe "the record" of his past protests with Code Pink and other radical groups, as if they never happened. And when that didn't work, he said, "I only went to two Walter Reed protests." Then on CSPAN on Memorial Day, he tried to float the story that he had only been to one protest at WRAMC.

That's why I started digging through all of our WRAMC reports and blog reports, to find out just how many times he was there.

When I saw that we had record of four protests that he had been to there, as well as accompanying Mother Sheehan to WRAMC on the occasion of the 2000th death in Iraq, I had visions of a candidate John Bruhns a few years down the road saying, "I'm John Bruhns, and I'm reporting for duty."

If he really does think that what Code Pink is doing at Walter Reed is reprehensible, I want to see him issue a press statement condemning what the leftists in Code Pink (and Veterans For Peace and IVAW and the rest of the radicals) are doing there. I want to read his public apology to the wounded soldiers and their families for the pain and suffering he caused them by his participation in those protests.

Otherwise, it looks to me like he's a political opportunist.

I believe Hackett's on some kind of board for that group.

I researched it a while back and IIRC, VoteVets.org Wesley Clark's hobby horse. I did the reseach, no "journalist" would know because they're not that good.

Bet there's something to be learned there.
