someone can correct me but I ‘ve been told by my brother who lives in the area that Yuengling is the oldest active brewery......any one know for sure?

It was founded as the porter-producing Eagle Brewery in 1829 (renamed the D.G. Yuengling & Son Brewery in 1873) in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. Yuengling lays claim today to being “America’s Oldest Brewery.”
