The problem of Croats in Bosnia is that, dissatisfied with their position, they emigrated, which could happen to Serbs, says Dodik.

After returning from the United States, where, together with the Bosniak member of the Bosnian Presidency, Haris Silajdzic, he held talks with American officials, the Serb Presidency member, Milorad Dodik, clearly stated that entity voting could not be annulled and the name of Republika Srpska could not be changed.

-Entity voting cannot be put in question in BH because that would mean the disruption of a balance that was set up by the Dayton Agreement and would lead to a majorisation and overvoting. Of course, this all would lead to destabilisation – Dodik said in an interview for the Nezavisne novine daily. He added that this would mean a loss of confidence of the Serb people in Bosnia-Herzegovina and in a couple of years Bosnia would become an ethnically cleansed Bosniak state.

He thanked representatives of the American administration who, he said, invested maximum efforts to have dialogue conducted about everything, but they had made a mistake regarding expectations.

The problem of Croats who are dissatisfied with their political position

-At this moment we realistically have a problem with Croats who, dissatisfied with their political position after the war, emigrated in numbers more than 50 percent. Such a fate would come upon Serbs if entity voting is rescinded and reduced and if the Republika Srpska police is cancelled. This means that the plan that reis Ceric (head of the Islamic community in BH) is clearly stating that BH is the country of Bosniaks and that those who are not satisfied could leave – Dodik said.

Dodik compared the position of Croats in BH with the position Serbs could be placed in.

What happened to Croats is a lesson for Serbs

-I told the hosts in Washington that what had happened to Croats in BH was a lesson for Serbs and we cannot allow this situation to happen to us. Nobody can forbid us the right to stop up being a national minority that will be overvoted, whether this request is forwarded to Dodik or anybody who will take his office. I can understand Silajdzic who is angry and embittered and who continues the rhetoric he used when he was a war leader – Dodik concluded.
