Seems Kyle sold out to get on the federal bench

Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson, according to Fox news last night, says the WH is changing the bill...and she thinks it will pass, she’ll vote for it. What these magic changes are we the general dumb public, don’t know. We’re supposed to, in the immortal words of John Kerry, just ‘sit down and shut up’.
Once Upon A Time there was a Senator named Jon Kyl....
Part 1. Judas Kyl & his Thirty Pieces of Silver
Once upon a time in Arizona, there was a US Senator named Jon Kyl. He began his career as a lawyer, became president of the AZ Chamber of Commerce and eventually became AZ Republican Party Chair, ran for Congress and ultimately for the US Senate. He loved the power of being a US Senator, but there was something missing. Rather than having to run for re-election periodically trying to convince voters not to hold him accountable for his voting record, he really wanted to be a judge. Not just a county or state judge, but a federal judge with a lifetime appointment regardless of the outrageous decisions he might deliver or how blatantly he pandered to special interests or powerful politicians.

His price is a federal judicial appointment. Appointed by Bush, confirmed by Kennedy.
Jam his phones.
Does anyone know if he is making any public appearances in Arizona soon? Bet he isn’t.
The House will have a harder time passing this bill. Two years between elections is scarier than six years between elections.
Probably best to call House members. The Senate has truly gone anti-American
Arizona is one of the states that have a recall law for state officials. Since Kyle was elected by state voters cannot he be recalled? Something to think about.
Yes. Senator Kyl is after a judgeship. See The Federal Observer, Once Upon A Time there was a Senator named Jon Kyl.... http://www.federalobserver.com/archive.php?aid=11591
opposition “tailing off”
Riiiiight.
It will be interesting to see what the the Republican senators who support this blll will say when they see how hard it is to get re-elected by Democrat votes when the Republican base deserts them.
Regards.
I second your post radar101 whole heartly. Reuters just wants people think that it's tailing off. My A$$
OTOH, the guv, who was/is a stong and vocal supporter of comprehensive immigration reform captured 67% of the vote, including many GOP votes.
This is the end of the republican party if this bill passes. This country will be flooded with 100 million new victims who will see the democrats as their savior.
Between the 100 million new illegals who will all vote democrat coupled with all of the pissed off conservatives who were betrayed and who left the republican party, this is the END of the republican party. Why would the republican party commit suicide like this?
Judas did it for thirty pieces of Silver, although, I'm thinking Kyl got a lot more.

A few days ago, I saw articles saying, “Texas Senators leaning against bill.” Her new amendment would require that the Z-visa applicants return to their home countries before ??????? happens.
Does that mean that they would not be instantly legal, or that they would be instantly legal but would have to promise to go home some day? That would be pretty much the same as the rest of the amnesty bill - promises but no enforcement. More lipstick on the pig.
Could it mean that they would get in line to be fingerprinted and photographed in the USA and then go back home, and then wait for permission to come in to be instantly legal? If this is what she proposes, then:
1) I expect rampant fraud again, like post-1986 amnesty
2) Just to get fingerprinted/photographed in the USA would seem to require a substantial increase in money spent somewhere. Otherwise the wait times for both illegal and legal immigrants would be excruciatingly long. If the proposal is anything like this, I don’t see how the pro-amnesty senate characters could vote for it. If the senate voted down that amendment, would that give Hutchison and Cornyn an excuse to vote against the bill itself?
Kay has some ‘splainin’ to do.
>>Kyl had a very tough re-election last year. For a while it was feared that he would lose, but he pulled out a 53% win
OTOH, the guv, who was/is a stong and vocal supporter of comprehensive immigration reform captured 67% of the vote, including many GOP votes.<<
My view is that Kyl and Napolitano both deceived the public with the euphemism “comprehensive immigration reform.” Kyl were either lying in the elections (shocking for a politician to do that - NOT), or something mysterious happened to him since then.
