Whether or not there is a Sergeant Safstrom in D/1/325, the opinion expressed by him is increasingly becoming a popular one. There's no denying that these extended, multiple deployments are starting to take their toll on the men and women serving over there. There's a lot of frustration and anger growing in the ranks. I hate to break it but there's going to be a lot of men and women who wear BDUs to work voting "D" in the next election. And they're going to vote "D" because they are tired of war and want to come home.
“...these extended, multiple deployments are starting to take their toll on the men and women serving over there.”
How dare you say...the keyboard commandoes in Ft. Livingroom know better....
Can’t help but sympathize with them, but if we don’t do it right this time it will be much worse the next time around.
The present Iraq war is a test. Most Muslims will side with the terrorists if we follow the ideas of the rockheads H. Clinton & Obama. They are busy making an impossible situation for their presidency’s. If they had any sense, they would support Bush to get the problem solved.
If they are tired of war and want to come home... what an indictment;
"What did you do in the war, Mommy? I was tired and I went home."
But I don't think that's true. Our men and women are better than this writer implies. God bless them.
