He’s wrong because he’s not thinking deeply enough about the issue. And I simply responded, in kind, to his arrogant prose. He and his posse then became unglued.

Doubtlessly you believe that. However, the fact prove quite different. So be a adult, admit you were wrong to flame out like that and move on. Your choice of debate tactics here is self defeating even if you have the right of the argument.

Your post #238, you very 1st post on this thread. "

Your’s is a silly, nonsequitur-bound {and probably libertarian-based} argument."

If you cannot see the same arrogance in your own postings then I’m sorry. I find it remarkable that you’re accusing him of the very same thing you exude! Harsh? Perhaps, but that’s the way you’re coming across. Perhaps you don’t think so, but this is the way I’m reading you.

Now, the reason I’m opposed to givng illegal aliens amnesty of any kind is because they defied our laws and scoffed at their fellow citizens who had and have the decency to apply for visas in this country. We reward Mexican citizens more visas than (I think) any other country.

Could we use a guest worker (GW) program? Yes. Could we allow more Mexicans into the country to work? Yes, under certain conditions: No free medical, no free welfare of any kind, they must pay taxes and SS on every dime made. Employers who fail to follow the law should be fined AND jailed. I’m not even asking for deportations. I think such laws would see a mass exodus back to Mexico with a huge crowd vying for the new GW pass.
