You may have just hit the nail on the head.
When she developed the first “splotch” I had just prior taken her to the dermatologist for an infection in her toenails caught at the swim club.
Fungi, if I remember correctly, are odd buggers to say the least. They eat, linger, sleep, and awake at their leisure ... especially during stressful times.
We were promptly warned then that so-called “country clubs” weren’t necessarily the cleanest of places.
Were the hospital here reliable, I would take her immediately. Unfortunately, my Dad was treated months for a kidney infection when all along he had lung and bone cancer.
Thank you all so very much for taking the time to reply. She’ll be seeing a dermatologist Tuesday. However, as any parent can understand, Tuesday seems decades away right now.
God Bless
Please take her to the ER if she is experiencing any fever, tenderness on the rash, mental confusion or other neuro symptom and/or swelling at the abdomen. Rashes are usually a symptom of a disease or a reaction to an allergen. It may be a fungal infection. But the types and causes of rashes are so varied it is impossible to pin a cause down.
Could your daughter have been bitten by a tick?
UAB?
sounds like its the Doctor you need to blame, if blame is due at all....hospitals don't run the show of what tests to run, etc....they are facilitators.....
