Is this for citizens detained on these charges as well, or only foreign detainees?
The reference is to "illegal combatants" detained at Gitmo.
They are foreign. They are terrorists detained on the battlefield. They have NO legal rights...even under the Geneva Convention.
The Democrats are going to try to give them the same rights as United States citizens. Doubtless in the hope they'll vote Democrat...
It would seem the Democrats are more concerned with the "rights" of illegal aliens and terrorists than with the rights of U.S. citizens.
