I can come up with a rational point on the side of the right to life at the point of conception, the right to kill the baby would be irrational.

You do know that Jewish law, dating back to Old Testament times, and the foundation of the Judeo-Christian tradition, disagrees with you in regards to when a life begins.

I raise this only to point out that opinions can reasonably differ on this matter.
