With the terrorist threat level at orange, or "high" for all domestic and international flights, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials continue to crack down on what can, and cannot, be packed in carry-on bags.
During the Christmas holidays, snow globes were a no, no as it contains more than three ounces of liquid.
The same restrictions apply to suntan lotions, sunscreen, even food that contain liquid for travel this weekend.
Homeland officials are estimating a high number of passengers and say passengers should either check their baggage or follow the 3-1-1 rule of carry-on luggage [-] three ounces of liquid in one quart-sized clear plastic bag, and only one bag per passenger.
Liquids were completely banned last August after a plot was revealed that terrorists in London planned to use liquid explosives to bring down airplanes over U.S. soil.
The ban has since been eased by many restrictions are still in place.
Items allowed in carry-on luggage this weekend include gel-filled bras, bubble bath balls, bath oils, bug and mosquito sprays, cigar cutters, scissors, cuticle cutters, nail polish, nail clippers, nail files, knitting needles, crochet needles, tweezers, umbrellas, walking canes, toy transformer robots, toy weapons, plastic or butter knives, safety razors and disposable razors.
Firearms must be packed in checked luggage.
Items that must be three ounces or less in carry-on luggage include deodorants, eye drops, hair styling gels and spray of all kinds including aerosol, lip gels such as Carmex or Blistex, liquid lip-gloss, liquid foundation, spray perfumes and colognes, soap, mascara, make-up removers and facial cleansers, mouthwash, non-prescription liquid or gel medicines like cough syrup and gel cap pills, personal lubricants, saline solution shampoos and conditioners.
A government-issued identification card is required to travel in the U.S. at every airport.

Just got a call from a friend at O'Hare. He's flying in tonight.
He told me that the airport is repeatedly announcing that the "Threat Level is at Orange." He wondered if I knew what that means. I actually don't. He's flying in his flip flops with all baggage checked, so I don't think it would affect him.
Wonder why they keep announcing that?
Yellow is normal. This is up a notch, but only for air travel.

Only thing I noted was that the planes were full.
Is it Memorial Day weekend, or Hotwire and Travelocity that is filling them up??
I wouldn't trust MacGyver with any of these carryons.
Screw flying in an aluminum tube. I’ll be riding the Harley and enjoying the wind in my hair this weekend.
