The pig is big and probably does weigh over 1,000 lbs. but I think the kid is standing away back from the pig a bit to give it a “bigger” look on film.

That kid has to be 5-10 feet behind the hog. I’ve seen plenty of 1000lb+ domestic boars and they’re big, but they aren’t 12 feet long and 5 feet high. A wild boar would be leaner and taller at a given weight, but this doesn’t look right.

Unless they can produce the skull and some other bones, I’m calling this a hoax.

Yeah they do. My brother hunts them on the big island of Hawaii and 500+ #’s is pretty routine. A good hunting dog is essential to keeping yourself in one piece though. He’s never been able to persuade me to go with him. I’m not getting any faster with age, so it’s likely I never will. Up close, the things are not exactly a treat for the nose either, and the meat is really gamey on the bigger ones.
