One engine out on a 747 isn’t a big deal, is it? Hopefully :)

A 747 can easily fly on two engines. A single engine loss is an inconvenience not a disaster.

Still, not the plane ride that I’d want.

A Chinese airline got grounded in Germany, it had been flying revenue flights with one down for weeks.

British Airways lost an engine over China on a 747 enroute Hong Kong to London, kept going to LHR. No sweat, one hour, late free drinks for all.

1 engine out, 1 hour late.
2 engines out, 2 hours late.
3 engines out, 3 hours late.
4 engines out, you’re up there all night.
