Duno has no chance. She’s a rookie with little 500 track time, and she starting from 29th (out of 33). Nobody has ever won from that far back. (Two have won from 28th.) Her qualifying speed was the second-worst of the field, was 3.3 mph behind the field average, and 6 mph slower than the top 5. She’s window-dressing, and the only way to get the Fisher-Patrick tandem some attention (since they’ve raced before). Indy has more problems fielding 33 cars lately than getting quality racers, so they’re happy to have a PR-generating back-row filler.
