The recalled product was manufactured at the company's Lathrop, Calif. facility. No other Nutra Nuggets products are affected.
Consumers who purchased Nutra Nuggets 40 Lb. Lamb Meal and Rice Formula with production codes of NLR0404A2SL, "Best Before" Oct. 9, 2008, and NLR0404B2SL, "Best Before" Oct. 9, 2008, should stop feeding the product immediately and return unused portions to their retailer for a full refund. Consumers may also contact the Diamond Pet Foods Customer Information Center toll free at 1-866-214-6945 for further information. The Center, which is staffed by veterinarians, is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. CDT.

If I’m not mistaken, Diamond also manufacturers Costco’s
Kirkland brand. Their lamb and rice canned food, which I use to flavor the dry food, was recalled...but not before my dog was very ill, and passed stones over a several week period. This all happened just prior to the news starting to dribble out about a few cans of wet cat food. The dog only got a couple of tablespoons a day and she’s 70 lbs. Could have been bad dry food too.
