Thank you for posting this; indeed, this number seems to work very well. I got through to someone who said that he was in our junior senator's office using 1-1 (not 1-2) extraordinarily quickly. He was quite polite when I explained why I thought this was a bad bill.

However it was busy when I tried to use it to contact our senior senator.

I just tried our senior Senator’s Washington office number listed on the Senator’s congressional website, and I got through immediately also. The person that I spoke to was quite non-committal, unlike the more pleasant person who apparently works for our junior senator.
